This is the first year that I’ve grown radishes in the garden. I’m really only familiar with radishes as a salad garnish, but have seen recipes where they’re roasted also. The oven was in use for other dishes, so I thought I’d try Pan Fried! I figured we didn’t have that many radishes anyways, and if we didn’t like them, no big deal.
All I did was heat some oil in a pan, add the radishes, and a little salt! Nothing else is necessary.
The radish greens are also edible, and lose their prickly-ness once cooked. They are a little bitter, so I think I will need to play around with those more to find the right seasonings, but they did an ok job, and not a bad way to eat some greens.
The radishes themselves though, they were SO DELICIOUS. They were not as spicy as I expected, and they have a lovely complex flavor that shines on its own. Highly recommend.
